Kuttner Antiques aims to bring the past, the present and the future together by linking them through items crafted by the artisans of years past. Our main focus is 18th and 19th century American antiques but we’ve started expanding in offering and buying other kinds of antiques since mid-2018.
It all started when we discovered that the house we moved into was full of antiques in the basement. Of course, we contacted the owner about them but he said that it’s fine, he’s not interested in those antiques and we could sell them if we wanted to. We were shocked because who knows? We might find a million dollar artifact in there, but of course, we weren’t surprised that the entire antique collection is no more than 1000 dollars, and there were tons of them.
However, what fascinated us is that some of these antiques were very interesting. The whole family agreed on keeping those antiques and we made the basement an antique collection room and we’ve since collected and added more in it.
Soon, we found ourselves opening our own antique shop and we put things we find on display for sale to anyone who might also find them fascinating. We’ve also started buying antiques from others and to this day, we’re still fascinated by these things. I mean, it’s a thing that somehow connects you to the past, isn’t it?
Today, we are still going strong. We are mainly offering American antiques but we are constantly expanding and we are now also offering international antiques. We also now buy antiques coming from all around the world and from whatever time period it may be*.
If you have something to sell to us or if you are interested in what we have on sale, don’t hesitate to contact us!
